Biography

Katherine Noble Churchill grew up riding sporthorses (dressage & jumping) in central Maine. She now lives in Bar Harbor with her family and keeps her horse at a nearby farm, riding outside year-round and enjoys the trails of Acadia National Park. She paints both landscapes and equine subjects in her home studio. She graduated with a B.S. degree in Pre-Veterinary Science from University of Maine at Orono, which included many elective art courses. She continues to study drawing, painting, experimenting with design and enjoys working with clients to develop unique, meaningful paintings for them. Her colorful work, a combination of impressionism, realism, and imagination, is inspired by views & animals of Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park and travel. She accepts equine paintings commissions, a specialty after having years of riding and horse anatomy experience. A current member of the American Impressionist Society and American Academy of Equine Art.
